Spoon River Valley FOP Lodge 427 Scholarship
2026-2027 Academic Year
The Spoon River Valley Lodge will be awarding a $500 scholarship to students wishing to pursue higher education during the 2026-2027 academic year. The student must be enrolled at a certified institution or trade school to receive this award.

- There shall be no restrictions on any applicant by reason of race, age, creed, color, sex, or national origin.
- Applicant must be related to a current lodge member in good standing.
- Applicant must show proof of enrollment at the time of award.
- Scholarships are to be utilized at institutions of higher learning only.

Applications are available upon request of lodge members, or by downloading the form above. Fill out the application and return to the Spoon River Valley Lodge thru mail or e-mail.

Distribution of Monies
- The scholarship funds will be paid directly to the school on behalf of the recipient.
- Funds must be used during the regular school year and cannot be used for summer courses.
- IMPORTANT NOTICE: NO funds can be used for housing. All funds will be applied to the cost of tuition, books, and fees.
- Books must be purchased from a learning institution campus bookstore and directly billed through that institution's bursar's office.
- If tuition is paid in full by any other scholarship, grant or other financial aid the FOP scholarship cannot be used to reduce other funding.
- The recipient must instruct the school he/she is attending to notify the FOP Lodge with written notification of full-time enrollment status before any scholarships will be paid.
Selection Process
- Recipients will be selected at random draw by a non-family member.
- Any member of the scholarship committee having knowledge of a family member applying will not be involved in the selection of the recipient.
